Erico Carvalho
Erico Carvalho focuses on strategic litigation before Brazil's highest courts, particularly in constitutional and regulatory matters before the Supreme Court and complex business disputes before the Superior Court of Justice.
Before the Supreme Court, he handles cases involving the legal framework for evolving markets and technologies, with particular emphasis on disputes concerning digital platforms, economic freedom, privacy, freedom of expression, and the constitutionality of regulatory choices in strategic sectors. Before the Superior Court of Justice, he focuses on complex contractual disputes with corporate and regulatory implications, as well as litigation at the intersection of court proceedings and arbitration.
He holds an LL.M. from Columbia Law School in New York, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and an editor of the American Review of International Arbitration. His recent publications include book chapters and other writings on arbitration, Supreme Court decisions, the New York Convention, and the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments.
